Frozen banana + Juicer = Ice cream??

February 9th, 2015 - Rob Jones

I can't claim ownership of this little tip, but I don't think it's very well known so it's worth sharing. If you own a cold-press style juicer, you can probably use it to make banana style ice cream as seen in this video:

The resulting goop has the consistency of soft ice cream and tastes pretty good - very useful when you're craving a treat but don't want to go overboard.

Here's one I made earlier:

Halloween drink for kids

October 29th, 2014 - Rob Jones

With Halloween just days away, I thought I would share this quick tip you can use to give fizzy drinks an extra spooky edge.

The secret ingredient? Sherbet!

Take any kind of soda and add a dab of sherbet - the two will react and generate a bubbling froth that any witch would be proud of. This is best tried on drinks of a vibrant color, like red, green, or blue. I'm using Cherryade in the above picture.

Happy Halloween! (read more / write a comment)
